CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
About the Position
Daitum are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead them through its next phase of growth and development. The CEO will own the company’s vision and strategy, ensuring alignment across all departments to achieve business goals. This role involves steering Daitum towards its financial and operational objectives, driving successful funding rounds, and setting the foundation for long-term success.
Key Responsibility Areas
Vision and Strategy
- Develop and articulate Daitum’s long-term vision and strategy in collaboration with the board of directors, focusing on market expansion, product development, and competitive positioning.
- Translate strategic vision into actionable plans driving business growth and innovation, including quarterly and annual goals for each department.
- Communicate the company’s vision and strategy to employees, investors, customers, and other stakeholders through regular town halls, investor updates, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
Leadership and Management
- Lead the senior management team, including co-founders, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and strategic goals through regular executive meetings and regular performance reviews.
- Foster a high-performance culture encouraging innovation, collaboration, and accountability by implementing clear KPIs, recognition programs, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective organisational structures and processes supporting company growth, including talent acquisition strategies, onboarding programs, and succession planning.
- Mentor and coach senior leaders to enhance their capabilities and ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
Business Development and Growth
- Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities, including new market expansions and strategic partnerships, by conducting market research and engaging with industry leaders.
- Drive revenue growth through robust sales, marketing, and customer success strategies, setting ambitious yet achievable targets for customer acquisition and retention.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring Daitum’s offerings meet market needs and maintain a competitive edge by working closely with the CTO and product teams.
- Establish and nurture key client relationships, participating in high-level sales meetings and attending industry conferences to promote Daitum’s solutions.
Financial and Operational Management
- Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure financial health and sustainability.
- Prepare for and lead the company through funding rounds, including investor relations and pitch preparation, targeting to fuel the next stage of growth
- Implement effective operational practices to optimise efficiency and scalability, including the adoption of appropriate technologies and processes.
- Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics to the board of directors, providing transparent and timely updates on company performance.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, partners, and regulators, through regular communication and engagement initiatives.
- Serve as Daitum’s primary spokesperson, representing the company at industry events and in the media, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and press interviews.
- Cultivate relationships with potential acquirers and strategic partners to position the company for future exit opportunities.
- Engage with the broader tech community through thought leadership articles, speaking engagements, and participation in industry associations.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience (minimum 5-7 years) in a deep-tech SaaS or technology-focused company, preferably in a start-up or high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated success in raising capital, particularly in early-stage funding rounds, with experience in closing at least one Series A round,
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, including product development, go-to-market strategies, and customer acquisition, with a track record of achieving product-market fit,
- Sound understanding of computational optimisation and artificial intelligence: you must be able to represent with authority and make informed business decisions about our core capability.
- Track record of driving significant business growth (e.g., 100%+ year-over-year) and achieving operational excellence in previous roles.
- Experience in building and leading high-performing teams of 50+ employees across multiple functions.
- Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field preferred; MBA or technical graduate degree a plus.
